To help you narrow down your search, we've put together some infallible ways that can help boost oxygen indoors and get rid of unwanted toxins. Check them below :
Clean the air vents
This is the first and most important thing you have to do to improve the quality of the air in your home. Even if you splurge on the best air filter or the most expensive deodorants, it will not work if your heating and cooling system is clogged with dust and grime.
Display plants that purify the air
There are a handful of green wonders that are not just for decoration purposes, and some of them are natural humidifiers. Place a few Bamboo Palm, Chinese Evergreen or Devil's Ivy pots at home to get rid of volatile organic compounds that can cause harmful diseases.
Invest in an air filter
Although we can always rely on the power of plants, it can not be painful to have a little help from the technology to make sure you are breathing clean air at home. A proper air filter can eliminate all odors, mold, mildew and smoke without using alcohol or petroleum, making it a good long-term investment.
Change the bedding regularly
Since we lay in our beds for a good amount of time, we tend to inhale everything that clings to it. Make a habit to wash pillowcases, sheets and duvets at least twice a month to reduce your exposure to allergens and dust mites.
Consider using charcoal
Humidity is the enemy of air purification because the bacteria thrive in the presence of moisture. Do not worry, there is a solution, it is called binchotan, a hardened coal kiln discovered by the Japanese that has natural properties of moisture absorption and air purification. Put some apples in a bowl and you're good to go!
